I’ve been recommending the Rokinon 14mm 2.8 (a.k.a. Samyang, Bower) lens for night photography where it excels as one of the best lenses out there. If you have attempted to use this lens for landscape, or especially architecture you will be disappointed to find that it has very bad mustache distortion. There is good news though! There are lens profiles available for this lens that fix the distortion and vignetting for you automatically in Lightroom or ACR. Below is an example of before and after the profile was applied.
To install lens profiles first install the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader, after you have it installed follow the instructions below
Nikon – select Nikon for the Make and Samyang 14mm f11 for the Lens Model, click download, restart Lightroom or camera raw and the profile will show up in Lens Corrections
Canon – select Canon for the Make and SAMYANG 14mm 2.8 ED AS IF UMC for the Lens Model, click download, restart Lightroom or camera raw and the profile will show up in Lens Corrections
Turn on Enable Profile Corrections and the profile should be applied automatically! If the vignetting correction is a bit too much, just dial back the amount slider.
I’m hoping for a profile for Corel aftershot pro. Got this one with my samyang https://www.flickr.com/photos/gipukan/34402018375/
